Research & Development Support
NORD provides support to industry for both research and development of orphan drug products. NORD works closely with both the NIH and FDA and has an intimate knowledge of the process companies must undergo to attain orphan status. NORD is committed to the development of safe and effective treatments for rare diseases and therefore is willing to work with all stakeholders to realize that goal.
Additionally, NORD posts information on its website and in its newsletter about current studies for which participants are being recruited. These postings are free for Corporate Council members, while non-members must pay for them.
