1st Annual Rare Diseases/Orphan Products Summit

NORD is co-sponsoring the 1st Annual Rare Diseases/Orphan Products Summit on Oct. 11-13, under the auspices of the Drug Information Association (DIA). Collaborating organizations include EURORDIS (the European Rare Disease Organization), FDA, NIH, and the Duke Clinical Research Institute. Learn More.

NORD's Regional Meetings for Members

In late 2011 and early 2012 NORD hosted three regional meetings for its Member Organizations. These meetings were held in Chicago, New York City, and San Francisco to mark the launch of a series of workshops, webinars and in-person meetings to help NORD and its Members collaborate effectively. Medical Foods Conference

On February 17, 2011, NORD hosted a conference in Washington DC for all stakeholders concerned about the fact that patients with certain rare diseases often experience difficulty accessing medical foods required for their care.  NORD will continue to monitor and work on this issue through its advocacy programs and with stakeholders who participated in the February conference.
