The Child Growth Foundation (CGF) established in 1977, is a self-help organization serving patients and members of their families, health professionals, other professionals, and the public with information and services related to disorders affecting children's growth. Children who fail to grow enough, or who grow far beyond the mean, may suffer socially and psychologically, as well as medically. The foundation encourages regular assessment of children's growth so that problems may be detected early and, when it is possible, treated. The foundation also funds research on conditions that, as yet, have no treatment.
