The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention is the nation’s reference, referral, and distribution service for HIV/AIDS-related information. A government service organization founded in 1987, the CDC National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention has served a diverse network of people in local, state, and national settings and has designed its services to facilitate sharing of information and resources on education and prevention programs, research findings, and trends among clearinghouse users. The NCHHSTP offers a variety of informational publications including brochures, posters, videotapes, and reports. In addition, the NCHHSTP offers many specialized services including an electronic bulletin board (NAC on-line); referral and networking services; access to databases; publications distribution Resource Centers in Rockville, MD and Atlanta, GA; the Business and Labor Resource Service; the AIDS Clinical Trials Information Service; the HIV/AIDS Treatment Information Service; and an International Access phone number. Many of the CDC NCHHSTP’s publications are available in Spanish. Postage and handling payment is required for bulk orders of materials.
