The Lightning Strike & Electric Shock Survivors, Inc., is an international group for those who have been struck by lightning or have received a damaging electrical shock. Its mission is to communicate with other members by acting as a resource for information and encouraging family members to better understand the physical, emotional, and psychological symptoms associated with lightning strikes and damaging electrical shocks. The organization supports survivors by listening to their health issues and concerns, and providing an avenue for members to express their feelings, fears, and emotions. The group also supports the study of long-term physical and emotional consequences of exposure to lightning strikes and damaging electrical shock.
