Childhelp, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, directly provides help and support to more than 161,000 children and adults whose lives have been traumatized by child abuse. The organization, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, is one of the largest and oldest national non-profits dedicated to the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect. It's programs and services include the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, 1-800-4-A-CHILD®, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and responds to calls from the United States, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam. Childhelp's programs and services also include residential treatment services ("villages"); children's advocacy centers; therapeutic foster care; group homes and child abuse prevention, education and training.
