The ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura) Association was established in 1997 in Israel as a support group for individuals with ITP, a condition characterized by deficiency of circulating blood platelets resulting in bleeding into the skin and other organs. The Association is committed to providing its members with current information concerning ITP research and its treatment, conducting periodic meetings with guest speakers from all medical and para-medical fields, promoting and supporting ITP research programs all over the world, and continually working to locate ITP specialists who will support such research.
