The Hypokalemic Periodic Paralysis Resource Page is a web site on the Internet dedicated to helping individuals who have been diagnosed with Primary Hypokalemic Periodic Paralysis (HKPP). HKPP is a metabolic disorder characterized by recurring episodes of progressively flaccid paralysis or weakness. During such episodes of muscle weakness, levels of potassium in the blood are abnormally low. In most cases, the disorder is inherited as an autosomal dominant genetic trait; however, in some cases, HKPP may occur sporadically. The Hypokalemic Periodic Paralysis Resource Page provides understandable information on HKPP and offers online networking opportunities.
