The National Perinatal Association (NPA) is a voluntary organization dedicated to perinatal health issues from preconception through infancy within a multicultural perspective. Established in 1976, NPA fosters optimal perinatal care by promoting education, supporting research, influencing national priorities, and encouraging collaboration among all concerned constituencies, including health care providers and consumers. Consisting of 1,100 members, NPA produces an official journal, the bimonthly "Journal of Perinatology," a quarterly Bulletin, and a resource list. The NPA holds an annual clinical conference and exhibition.
