The CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a non-profit organization working to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD). With over 16,000 members in 250 local chapters nationwide, CHADD achieves its mission through collaborative leadership, advocacy, research, education and support. CHADD provides a support network for parents, caregivers, and individuals with AD/HD; offers a forum for continuing education; disseminates accurate, evidence-based information about AD/HD to parents, educators, adults, professionals and the media; promotes ongoing research; and advocates on behalf of the AD/HD community. Members receive CHADD's bi-monthly magazine, Attention!, and have access to the members-only section of the CHADD web site. CHADD's CDC-funded National Resource Center on AD/HD is staffed by knowledgeable information specialists who can answer questions about AD/HD.
