The Skin Cancer Foundation is a non-profit, international, educational, health organization dedicated to providing information on detection and prevention of skin cancer and support to those affected. The foundation seeks to educate the public about the different forms of skin cancer, and promotes and supports ongoing medical research into causes and treatment. The foundation provides support for medical research and training; functions as a major resource center for the media; and works to educate the public. Programs include screening clinics, health fairs, and corporate and community wellness programs. Educational materials produced by the organization include a wide variety of brochures, posters, books, newsletters, and audio-visual materials.
