AboutFace International (AFI) is an international, nonprofit organization that provides information, emotional support, and educational programs for and on behalf of individuals with facial differences and their families. The organization seeks to increase public awareness and understanding of the challenges and abilities of people with facial differences. Founded in 1985, AboutFace memberships consist of individuals, parents, families, and friends touched by facial differences as well as healthcare and social service providers, educators and other professionals. The vision of About Face is to assist all persons with facial differences to have a positive self-image and self-esteem so that they can participate fully in their communities.
